International Online Therapy

Apricity Expat Therapy is an entirely online therapy practice providing therapy to clients internationally. This means you can get the help you need from the comfort of your own home no matter where you are in the world. You don’t have to worry about running into anyone in the waiting room, catching the flu, or getting stuck in traffic!

Just grab your computer and a comfortable, private spot in your house and you’re there!  The therapy practice is 100 percent HIPPA compliant: your personal information—both spoken and written—is 100 percent private and secure.

How It Works

Online Therapy Pricing and Insurance

We currently do not direct bill insurance plans. There are several reasons for this. When a therapist directly bills an insurance company, they are in effect an employee of that insurance company. This means the insurance company dictates the therapeutic process. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it can impact clients in unsuspecting ways. For example, insurance companies require therapists to provide a legitimate diagnosis in order to reimburse for services.

This becomes a part of your permanent health record that can affect security clearances, adoption processes and other background checks. Also, insurance companies dictate how many sessions they will cover given your diagnosis. This “one-size-fits-all” policy is the antithesis of our individualized approach. Each person’s situation is unique with varying levels of intensity and circumstance.

We do not feel it is appropriate for insurance companies to stress the therapeutic process by pressuring both you and the therapist to work according to their prescribed timeline.

You can submit your invoices for reimbursement with your insurance company. We simply do not direct bill.

50 minute online therapy sessions are $100 for individuals and $160 for couples. All payments are made via the client portal prior to each appointment. If the fee presents a problem for you, please contact us so that we can discuss the possibility of alternate arrangements.
