Frequently Asked

Apricity is the warmth of the sun on a winter day. I named my practice Apricity Expat Therapy because I want you to be at ease in therapy, as if you are relaxing into the warmth of the sun on a cold winter day.

he term “expat” is short for expatriate. This is someone who is temporarily living outside of their country of origin.

Yes, our therapists are excellent.  Each therapist has been practicing for over 10 years, is licensed and does the continuing education to maintain that licensure, and is an expat.

A 50-minute session is $100 for individuals and $160 for couples. Fees are payable via the secure client portal.

Each session is 50 minutes, usually scheduled about once a week. But, if your situation requires it, we can meet more often.

It depends on your situation and the nature of the problem. Progress tends to happen much quicker for those committed to having open, honest conversations.

No. We do not provide therapy via text or email.  Emails or texts are fine for brief exchanges, like changes in scheduling, quick admin questions, etc.  It’s not secure and we do not want to risk violating your privacy.

It’s your time to ask questions and see if the potential therapist is a good therapeutic match for you.

We currently do not direct bill any insurance plans. You can submit your invoices for reimbursement.

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment using the client portal if it is more than 24 hours before your appointment.  If it is less than 24 hours before the appointment, you will need to email your therapist directly. At that time, your therapist reserves the right to charge you the full fee.
